What qualifies for a Dinner Date with your escort

More information on Dinner Dates: restaurants, venues, and cultural programs

In our high class escort service, dining out together is very common, but a Dinner Date is a specific booking type with clear conditions. In practice, we notice that expectations can differ and unnecessary discussions arise. That is why, in this blog, we explain which venues are suitable for a Dinner Date and which are not.

We do not do this to add extra rules, but to provide clarity in advance: for you, for the escort, and for the atmosphere of the evening. With the overview below, you can easily check whether your idea fits a Dinner Date arrangement, or whether it is better suited to a standard booking, where you can of course still enjoy a meal together.

Always unsuitable for dining, regardless of booking type

Some venues are not suitable to visit with a high class escort, not even within a standard booking. These are places that almost always offer too little discretion, calm, and comfort, and where the setting is inevitably too casual or impersonal. This includes buffet restaurants, fast food chains, and snack bars. They do not match the level and experience we offer.

Fine for a meal, but not sufficient for a Dinner Date

A meal is almost always part of a booking, but that does not make it a Dinner Date. Within a standard booking, it is perfectly fine to arrange food via room service, cooking yourself, a delivery service, a caterer, or dining in the hotel restaurant. Lunch or brunch, a wine bar with small dishes, a cafe, bistro, gastrobar, restobar, taverna, brasserie, grand cafe, trattoria, a tasting room, or a restaurant that also offers takeaway as a core part of its concept, can also fit well within a standard booking. The same applies to pizzerias and sushi restaurants if someone prefers that within a regular booking. The key point is that these choices do not qualify as a Dinner Date.

This does qualify as a Dinner Date within our escort service

A Dinner Date takes place in the evening and is centred around a true dinner experience in a standard restaurant setting with table service, seating, a reservation, and a relaxed pace. This can be a very good, normal restaurant, or gastronomic fine dining at Michelin star level, and everything in between. For a Culinary Dinner Date, the minimum requirement is that at least the first half of the booking is spent on an extensive dinner of at least three courses. For a Cultural Dinner Date, a shorter menu is appropriate because dinner is combined with a cultural performance, and therefore at least two courses are sufficient, as long as the dinner and the cultural activity together make up at least the first half of the booking.

Activities that qualify as a Cultural Dinner Date

As a cultural element, we consider planned performances and cultural experiences that are clearly chosen as part of the programme, usually with tickets or a reservation. This includes theatre and plays, opera and operetta, ballet, dance performances, musicals, concerts in a concert hall or a comparable venue, and a performance in a large theatre or a more intimate theatre.

Over the years, clients have suggested various “cultural activities” that we have decided do not qualify within a Cultural Dinner Date. A selection: museum visits, watching a flashmob, film screenings, visiting a festival, the casino, a bar or club with dancing, debates, workshops, stand up comedy, literary programmes, storytelling and lectures, masterclasses, and drag shows. Please do not misunderstand us: all of these activities can be great fun, but they are simply not suitable within a Dinner Date arrangement.

Not sure about your choice

If you are unsure whether a venue is suitable for a Dinner Date, you are always welcome to submit your choice to us. We do not want to make it more complicated than necessary, but in practice there are exceptions. For example, there are luxury gastrobars where you can comfortably enjoy a full evening at the table, which can be suitable, and we are also happy to make exceptions for hotel restaurants at Michelin star level. The guideline is always the same: is this the type of venue where you dine extensively, or is it a place where you mainly just grab something to eat?

We also have doubts about our choice

The Netherlands is known for bureaucracy, and to be honest, we sometimes find that frustrating. At the same time, we notice that blogs like this can start to feel the same way. Extra conditions, extra rules, extra room for discussion. And those discussions are often unpleasant, while the goal is exactly the opposite: a pleasant, relaxed experience for both the escort and the client, with clear expectations in advance. That is why we are considering removing the Dinner Date and Overnight arrangements in the future and working with one rate: the standard rate, which always applies. Do you have ideas about this, or do you notice something in practice that we should take into account? Your input is very welcome.
