What do our lower rates for long escort bookings actually say?

Clients are noticing it more and more often: for longer bookings, our rates are noticeably lower than those of fellow escort agencies. This is not a mistake and not a sign of lower quality. The explanation lies in how we have built our agency and the agreements we make with our high class escorts.

What you pay as a client is divided between the agency and the escort. The part that goes to the agency is the agency fee. At most agencies, this is between 40 and 50 percent. At Society Service, it is considerably lower: for longer bookings, it comes to approximately 30 percent. That difference explains almost everything you see when you compare prices.

Fixed rates, not percentages

At Society Service, we make fixed rate agreements with every high class escort. What the escort earns is fixed, regardless of any discounts we as an escort agency offer to clients. A discount for booking multiple escorts, for example, comes entirely from our agency share, never from the escort’s earnings.

Our lower agency fee is possible because of scale. Over the past twenty years, Society Service has grown into the largest high end escort service in the Netherlands, and that volume results in lower average costs per booking. We pass that efficiency on to clients and escorts, rather than turning it into higher margins.

The difference in absolute numbers and percentages

For short bookings, the difference is still relatively modest. Most escort agencies currently start at around €700 to €750 for two hours and €1,000 to €1,100 for three hours. A few hundred euros difference is noticeable in percentage terms, but still manageable in absolute terms. It is only with longer bookings that the pattern becomes truly visible, and the difference can amount to thousands of euros.

The current market average for 48 hours is over €6,000, while an additional day elsewhere costs on average more than €2,000. At Society Service, you pay €4,650 for 48 hours, with each additional day costing €1,300. For a three day weekend, you pay €5,950 with us, compared with an average of over €8,000 elsewhere. For a five day midweek booking, the rate is approximately €8,500 with us compared with an average of €12,000 elsewhere. For a full week, you pay just over €11,000 with us, while the market average is over €16,500. That is a difference of more than €5,500, almost half again on top of our rate.

Society Service also works with a higher rate category. Every escort has the right to determine her own rates, and it is up to us to assess whether we can mediate for that rate. This is not a revenue model for us: the difference in agency fee is negligibly small. Even in this higher rate category, you pay substantially less for longer bookings than you generally would at fellow escort agencies. Even our highest rate group remains thousands of euros below the market average for longer bookings.

The couple surcharge

Another noticeable difference lies in the extra costs paid by couples. At Society Service, we charge €50 per hour for a couple, with a maximum of €250 per 24 hours. At some other agencies, couple surcharges for 24 hours range from €400 to €900. We find that a remarkable choice, especially because our escorts generally consider couple bookings among the most enjoyable assignments. We do not want to discourage those bookings with a very high surcharge.

What does the high class escort earn from this?

This is the part of the story that I also want to make clear for potential applicants. Do not focus blindly on the rate an agency charges clients, because that says much less than you might think. The difference in hourly earnings between Society Service and other agencies is small. The major difference is not in what the escort receives, but in what the client pays. Or, put another way: in what the agency earns.

Surcharges for special requests or travel expenses go entirely to the escort. No agency fee is charged on those amounts. We therefore handle the communication around these requests with the client free of charge, because it does not affect our own share.

The rates are not part of our 'strategy'

Lower rates are not a strategy of our agency. It is not as if we one day decided: we are going to distinguish ourselves on price. It happened naturally, as a byproduct of twenty years of experience. Some agencies, however, do consciously use high client rates to attract more applicants.
