Cosmopolitan Magazine about working as a high class escort

In April 2017 the Dutch Cosmopolitan published an online article on working as a high class escort. This interview was condoned for the section Love & Sex. Linde, a high class escort at Society Service was interviewed. The article was published in Dutch but below you can find a short summary in English.

Linde is high class escort and this is what her life looks like

And she answers honestly all the questions you've always wanted to ask an escort. Linde is in her late twenties, university degree, has a "normal" day job as well and works as a high class escort at escort agency Society Service. She has been doing this for about two years and we ask her everything about her work as a high class escort.

How did you decide to become a high class escort?

"One of my friends gave me Marike's book (Escort Bijbel) and told me: "That sounds like just the thing for you!". I read the book and can only say she was completely right. It sounded like great fun and exciting, but I did have my reservations. The general image of sex workers is not that positive and I wanted to think things through. I read a lot of stories from other escorts online, and the entire website of Society Service. One night, I decided to dress up and go to a luxury hotel. Upon arriving in the bar, men started talking to me. I chatted with a few but found it difficult to change the subject to them paying for my company. I did notice that I really wanted this, even though the guys were very normal guys. It sounded like a good enough reason to apply at Society Service, since they take care of all the bookings for me. The only thing I have to do is arrive at the right place at the right time."

Did you tell everybody about working as an escort?

"A couple of friends, but that's it. That's due to the stigma on this line of work. But in all honesty, the fact that it's my secret is part of the fun. If anybody where to find out, it wouldn't be the end of the world. Eventually it's my choice and I am very happy with this choice."

How do people respond when you tell them?

"My friends are jealous. They are rather openminded and have sex with just as many men as I do, but without being paid for it! I have traveled a few times for bookings, those are of course the bookings I preferably talk about, but I also talk to my friends when I didn't have a spectacular booking, for example when I didn't connect with the client. Needless to say, I need to be discrete, but I do want to share some things with my friends. In addition, I get to experience so many special things, from gourmet style restaurants to special sexual preferences, it's nice to be able to talk about it with my girlfriends."

Do people often judge you? If so, how?

"Sometimes. Some people have a very pragmatic approach to sex work. It's just a job, people can decide for themselves what they wish to do with their bodies. Other people see it as a form of empowerment. And other people think sex workers are dirty and bad. From my experience, prejudices, both positive and negative, are mostly based on falsehoods. People have no idea what this wrok is really like, you only know when you have experience with this industry, or have read up on the subject. Not all bookings include a private jet, taking me all over the world, just like not every sex worker has STD's and is forced to do this work. The reality lies somewhere in the middle. My reality just happens to lie closer to the "flying all over the world", because the agency I work for is a high class escortservice."

What's the best part about your work?

"Excitement, adventure and eroticism. No booking is the same. You get to experience very special things and meet people from different cultures, with sometimes very naughty erotic preferences. This makes this work a lot of fun for me."

What's the worst part about your work?

"Having to lie a lot to the people around me. I don't like this and am seriously contemplating just telling my family. It's fun having a secret, but it's no fun having to lie. In addition to that, I am confident my partners fully support my choice. They trust my ability to make the right choices in life, and at the end of the day I am a mature and independent woman, I can make my own choices."

Are you ever nervous when going to work?

"Yes, every time! The first few bookings I was far more nervous, but I still feel butterflies before every booking. Just before I enter the hotel, I feel the excitement running through my body. That's a great feeling."

Have you ever received a weird request from a client?

"Yes, but I do not want to share this for your amusement. The moments I share with my clients are private and require discretion."

Are there things you would never do when asked?

"Yes. I would never have unsafe sex. For all forms of sex, including oral sex, we use a condom. Other than that, I am pretty open minded and there are many things I would try but that depends on the person I am with, the situation and my mood. Some bookings, I enjoy having romantic cuddly sex. Other bookings I enjoy things to bet a bit more rough."

Has there ever been a unpleasant situation?

"The worst thing that ever happened was arriving at the wrong hotelroom. I introduced myself, wanted to walk in when a lady appeared behind the guy. He asked me who I was and what I was doing. I stumbled... "visiting mr. x". When they both looked at me with a questioning look, I realized my mistake. I had a laugh about with the right client. Other than that it's not very nice when I have no connection with the client. This can make it a bit difficult to share intimacy, and I am not just referring to the erotic part, that's the easier part. But having a long dinner, keeping the conversation going, is very tiring. Other than that, there have never been unpleasant situations. That's also due to the agency I work for. Society Service screens all its clients and makes sure I do not meet unpleasant clients."

What is a typical working day like for you?

"I can't say there is such a thing as a typical day at work for me. Where work starts and ends is a bit difficult to tell. Really, it begins in the gym, when I am making sure I keep my body in shape. But let's say I am in my pajamas at home and there's a booking, that's when I start getting ready. Depending on how much time I have (anywhere from an hour to a few months), I take a long shower or bath, wash my hair, dry it, remove all unwanted hair and use a nice body cream. I put on some nice make up, dress, heels, make-up, get my bag and get into the taxi. The taxi will take me to the location of the booking, which is where the time starts which I am actually getting paid for. Most bookings I do are between 3 and 16 hours, but can also be longer. A booking always starts outside the bedroom. I visit a cocktailbar, wine bar, restaurant, theater and so on with my client. This is where we get to know each other, or if I have met the client before, we catch up on things. A booking should go naturally, like a date, but one which you know will finish in the bedroom. Even taking initiative for sex goes naturally. It starts with a small touch, a kiss on the cheek, caressing my hand, a playful pinch, resulting in sex which can be romantic or rough, whatever we feel like. Sometimes I spend the night and we have sex again in the morning, after a nice breakfast, sometimes I go back home after sex."

Are you in a relationship, and does your work influence this? If not, do you think it would influence a relationship?

"I think that depends on the person. I know ladies who can combine the two, I don't know if I could and would want to. I guess I'll know when it happens."

What would you have never get to experience had you not done this work?

"I would have never known how much fun working as a high class escort can be!"
